40 Days of purpose Questions and Answers

What is 40 Days of Purpose?
It a six week spiritual growth event is designed to answer life’s most important question: What on earth am I here for? 40 Days will give people opportunities to explore habits of spiritual growth, study scripture, participate in a home group, discover new opportunities to serve our community, and gain new insight into a lifestyle of worship. We are excited about the potential of a community of people living in alignment with God’s purposes for their lives and the positive impact this could have on the wider community.

That’s great. What will we actually be doing?
40 Days of Purpose is based on the book The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. In 40 daily readings Rick lays out five fundamental human purposes:

  1. Worship – relationship with God
  2. Fellowship – relationships with people
  3. Discipleship – following Jesus Christ
  4. Ministry – actively working for God’s saving and renewing of Earth and its people
  5. Evangelism – telling people about how God has changed my life

Everything in 40 Days will be an exploration of those five fundamental human purposes

When does it happen?
40 Days runs for seven weekends beginning 27 September and ending 8 November.

Is 40 Days of Purpose just for Christians and churchgoers?
No, it is for anyone who is interested in discovering life purpose. The fundamental question of 40 Days, ‘What on earth am I here for?’ is an ideal starting place for anyone. No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, 40 Days will challenge you to grow.
