Students Get Creative
You already have what you need to be amazing!
22 July / FILM / Write, direct, film and edit your own one minute movie. Whether you are shooting with your camera phone or an HD video camera, we’ll help you make a mini masterpiece.
29 July / DRAWING / Get your drawing mind and muscles in great shape and amaze yourself as you make 100 sketches in one hour. This session will boost your skills and creativity like nothing you’ve ever done before.
5 August / COMICS / Using pictures and words together is a powerful way to tell stories. Whether you can draw or not, you can be a visual storyteller, once you learn to use what you have.
12 August / COLLAGE ART / Anyone can glue stuff on paper, but it takes real creativity to make it art. Discover how to make something amazing with old pictures and paint and glue and bits and bobs.
19 August / ELECTRONIC MUSIC / Whether you want to remix a song, sample and mix your own singing or playing, or just mess around with some loops, this session will be a good introduction to making music on a computer.
26 August / PHOTOGRAPHY / Everybody has a camera, but very few people really know how to use one. Beautiful pictures aren’t just for professionals with lots of fancy equipment. Come learn the secrets to getting the very best out of your camera.
Sessions take place from 10 to noon on Thursdays during the summer holidays. Advance registration is required. Spaces will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. Some sessions will have a small materials fee. Many projects will only be started and will require work at home or at a specially scheduled session to finish. THE BIG MEETING
i61 Sunday – 11-noon
Our weekend meetings are an hour of live music, comedy, drama, family, friendship and practical useful teaching for all ages. It’s a celebration of God and life and each other! Everyone is welcome. There is no dress code. And the language we use is everyday English, so you will know what we’re talking about from the very first time you visit. At i61, you’ll never be put on the spot or embarrassed. The meeting is our gift to you. When the meeting is done, you don’t have to rush off. The bar opens, and people often like to hang out and chat with friends and make new friends.

i61 Discovery
Three sessions covering: how the church started, what our vision is, why we exist, what we believe, what God has done for us, how we are structured, what it means to be part of i61, and our purpose and strategy. Discovering Spiritual Maturity
Part 2 of the i61 Discovery courses. In 5 sessions we begin to learn the four basic spiritual habits that help us grow in our faith: how to read the bible, how to pray, giving and spending time with other Christians. Please email church at i61 dot org for more information.
Discovering Me
part three of the i61 Discovery series, and it does exactly what it says on the gift box. Understanding the gifts God has given you is very helpful in discovering what makes you thrive in God’s family. Please email church at i61 dot org.
Finance Workshop
A practical workshop looking at God’s guidance on financial issues. Did you know over half of the parables of Jesus discuss money? We will look at how to deal with debt, how to start on the track to a debt free life, how to budget and how to plan effectively for the future. The workshop is 4 sessions on a Saturday morning. Leadership Training
Every month we offer training that is all about helping people develop their leadership gifts. These sessions are open to people of all ages, and they are popular with teenagers as well as adults. CONNECT GROUPS
Small groups of people who get together to grow in their relationships with God and friendships with each other. We do that in a lot of different ways. These are the groups that are currently meeting:
Jo & Kirsty’s Connect Group – Mondays 7.45 pm in the Conwy area
This group is primarily for people who have completed an Alpha course and want to learn more about the bible. It is a good place to start getting established in your faith.
Foundations – (2 sessions to choose from) Tuesdays noon or 7pm at Steve & Gill’s house
Theology and Doctrine course going through 11 essential truths as laid down in the Bible. We will be looking at the following subjects. God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit, Creation, The Bible, Sanctification, Life after Death, The second Coming of Christ, Good & Evil, Salvation.
i61 Teens – Tuesdays 6 pm with Alex and Tara at their house
This Connect Group is for teenagers! It’s probably the best group at i61 mainly due to the fact that the person editing this website is also one of the teen leaders.
Andy & John’s Beginners Babble – Wednesdays 7.30pm at i61
This Connect Group is aimed at new christians or if your new to studying/reading the bible. A great place to get started and grow.
Lee & Sarah’s Connect Group – Thursdays 7.45 pm at Lee and Sarah’s house
This group is primarily for people who have completed an Alpha course and want to learn more about the bible. It is a good place to start getting established in your faith.
Jeff’s Mens Group – Thursdays 7.30 pm at Jeff’s house
This group is for men!
Fred & Linda’s Connect Group – Friday 7 pm at Fred & Linda’s house
This group is primarily for people who have completed an Alpha course and want to learn more about the bible. It is a good place to start getting established in your faith.
PRAYER
Prayer – Wednesdays noon – 1 pm, come and go as you wish
This is our main time of prayer for each other and for the work of i61. Everyone is welcome.
