Bonfire Night
i61’s famous bonfire night is back Sunday 2 November from 5 to 7 pm. There will, of course, be quieter fireworks for little ones, a bonfire, lots of traditional fun games and a few surprises. Mark your calendars for now!
Get Ready to Grow
It’s one thing to start a relationship with God, but how does it grow deeper? How do you make it last?
Discovering Spiritual Maturity will give you the tools that you need to read and understand your bible and to spend time talking and listening to God. It is where you need to be if you are ready to move forward in your relationship with God.

When We Meet
THE BIG MEETINGS
i61 Saturday – 6-7 pm
i61 Sunday – 11-noon
Our weekend meetings are an hour of live music, comedy, drama, family, friendship and practical useful teaching for all ages. It’s a celebration of God and life and each other! Everyone is welcome. There is no dress code. And the language we use is everyday English, so you will know what we’re talking about from the very first time you visit. At i61, you’ll never be put on the spot or embarrassed. The meeting is our gift to you. When the meeting is done, you don’t have to rush off. The bar opens, and people often like to hang out and chat with friends and make new friends.
Deeper – last Wednesday of every month 7 pm (the next Deeper is 24 September)
Extended worship, communion and a message to challenge and encourage you into a deeper relationship with Jesus.
COURSES
Alpha – Tuesdays, 7 pm (the next Alpha course starts 9 September)
This is a great starting place for exploring what the Christian faith is all about. Click here for more info.
i61 Discovery
Four sessions covering: how the church started, what our vision is, why we exist, what we believe, what God has done for us, how we are structured, what it means to be part of i61, and our purpose and strategy. Discovering Spiritual Maturity
Part 2 of the i61 Discovery courses. In 5 sessions we begin to learn the four basic spiritual habits that help us grow in our faith: how to read the bible, how to pray, giving and spending time with other Christians. Click here for more info.
Relationships – back in 2009
A five week course for students year 8+ on sex and relationships. It is all about having the confidence to be yourself. It’s about living life like you’re really alive. It’s about relationships without regrets. And it probably means having a good laugh with your mates and making some new friends along the way. Click here for more info.
Finance Workshop
A practical workshop looking at God’s guidance on financial issues. Did you know over half of the parables of Jesus discuss money? We will look at how to deal with debt, how to start on the track to a debt free life, how to budget and how to plan effectively for the future. The workshop is 4 sessions on a Saturday morning. Leadership Training – last Saturday morning of every month (the next session is 27 September)
Every month we offer training that is all about helping people develop their leadership gifts. These sessions are open to people of all ages, and they are popular with teenagers as well as adults. CONNECT GROUPS
Small groups of people who get together to grow in their relationships with God and friendships with each other. We do that in a lot of different ways. These are the groups that are currently meeting:
Celso & Denise’s Connect Group – alternate Mondays 7.15 pm at Derek & Sheryl’s house
A very popular group centred around a longer time of worship.
Steve and Gill’s Connect Group – Thursdays 7 pm at Steve and Gill’s house
This group is primarily for people who have completed an Alpha course and want to learn more about the bible. It is a good place to start getting established in your faith.
i61 Life – Wednesdays 7.30 pm
i61 Life is all about putting spiritual principles to work in everyday life. It is the perfect group for people who want to live life to the full.
i61 Teens – alternate Fridays 7 pm at Lee and Sarah’s house

PRAYER
Soaking in God’s Presence – alternate Mondays 7-9 pm, come and go as you wish
A chilled out time of worship and prayer that is a really enjoyable way of refocussing on the things that really matter.
Prayer – Tuesdays 7.30-9 am, come and go as you wish
This is our main time of prayer for each other and for the work of i61. Everyone is welcome.
