Right, so we all turned up at our very own Sarah and Lee’s house (who have returned from a well deserved trip to Canada) only to be confronted by FIVE packets of Doughnuts which were more than welcome after a hard days work at school, we managed to polish them of rather quickly. Before we knew it there were FIVE very large pizza boxes on the table, which despite being stuffed with jam filled cakes we managed to consume.

Of course we needed a drink to wash it all down with, well by the end of the night we had managed to drink a massive three bottles of pop, leaving us rather satisfied.

Now we were ready for some real partying at the Band With No Name gig. The band was playing at Saint David’s college and we had been looking forward to it for weeks now. When we arrived we were blasted back a step or two by a beautiful bright light. No, it wasn’t divine intervention, nor was it a probe light from some distant space ship, but a number of white stage lights that, when turned to face the platform illuminated the band members.

The music began to play, it was loud, we could feel the drumbeat jolting us with amazing rhythm and it felt brilliant.

The very old and bland hall we were standing in with white wash was now filled with very new exciting music, bringing it to life, everybody in our little enthusiastic group of fourteen were now waving their arms to the totally awesome music, and singing along to the meaningful lyrics.

Ok so let’s chat about the music. Well, there were some really amazing drum solos, and some brilliant electric guitar playing, not everybody in our little group listen to rap music and the style of the band was rap, despite everyone’s first impressions we all came out smiling and enjoyed it thoroughly.

There was no pressure on anybody in the room to believe, despite being a Christian band, the band sang the words of God with passion, they rapped and rocked all in one. One band member asked the crowed who wanted to ask God into their lives, and half of the room stood up.

We i61 teenagers have loads of fun on loads of different adventures. If you thought that this one sounded good, then why not come along sometime and join in the fun.
